The Trinity Deception

This has got to be the hardest article I have written. Not because of lack of evidence or content, but because the level of indoctrination is so deep and very hard to break. I want you to know that I was born into a Catholic home and went to a private Catholic school; however, when I was about 8 years old - all of that changed. I wont go into the story about what took place as it would take way too long! But, we, as a family at that time started to re-think what we were believing in. The reason why I am even mentioning this at all is so that you can see how easy it was for me to carry around for decades the teachings from my youth! Believe you me, we may have left the church, but the false teachings did not leave me!

I never quite could understand the Trinitarian concept, there always seemed to be something that just felt wrong about the whole idea and As I got older, I started to question some elders and pastors. I was looking for answers that I could understand and wrap my head around, I most assuredly did not expect to get chastised and treated as if I was a demon possessed hell witch. And it really shocked me to see how quickly a Christian brother or sister could go from a very soft spoken, mild manner person to a raving mad lunatic in no time flat! Seriously, it is almost scary to watch how fast a fire is lit when you dare to question the Trinitary belief!

Needless to say, eventually I stopped asking the questions and just started to go along with the crowd and over a short period of time, I got pretty good at ignoring that little voice inside my head screaming all the questions out; but the feeling that something was way off never left

A few years back, this topic came up between hubby and I. You need to know that he never grabbed onto any part of this Trinitarian belief system and was very confused how anyone could believe such a thing! I do not remember the topic or how it came up; but I do remember saying "Jesus is God." Ohhh, that did not go well, if you could picture a red hot train with smoke coming out of the stacks like a bansheeeee - that might come close to describing my hubby when he heard me say that!

But at the same time, he gave me a lot to think about; he asked me the same questions (the same ones I myself have always had) and so, as you know - I started to look into it. What was found was very enlightening. The truth is truly in black and white and came out of our Heavenly Fathers mouth as well as out of the mouth of His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

Where it is at today

So as you can see we have accepted a whole lot of paganism into our belief system; most of it without even realizing it - as it is just something that we have been doing since we were born! A tradition. Brothers and sisters, nothing cuts deeper than the day we realize we have been misled or betrayed. This is why it is so necassary that we actually sit down and ask ourselves the hard questions and do some honest research about every single thing that we hold true, because through our acceptance or our blindness - we have spawned "counterfeit christianity" and it is everywhere!

On the surface most belief systems all look the same; almost all, if not all have some form of a 3 deity tier (father, son, spirit) or something similar and when we look under the hood we will see some of the differences easily, but more times than not some do not surface until we are well indoctrinated into that belief system that we are able to somehow justify the difference.

As we are heading deeper and deeper into this spiritual war, the need for understanding truth is so evident! How can we stand on the word of God if we do not understand completely who God is? These dark forces are playing for keeps and what is at stake here is our very souls. Paul has this very bold statement to say in Galations 1:6-10 6. I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel, 7. which is not just another account; but there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. 8. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! 9. As we have said before, even now I say again: if anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed! 10. For am I now seeking the favor of people, or of God? Or am I striving to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.

We are also told that if anyone does not confess that Jesus Christ came in the flesh and died for our sins; these people were not from God. 1 John 4:1-3 1. Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; 3. and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming, and now it is already in the world.

How many times do we hear that God came in the flesh yet our Bibles tell us Jesus is the Son of God, and that JESUS came in the flesh. We hear over and over again how He (Jesus) is here to do not His will but the will of His Father; verses upon verses all saying the same thing. We say that God and Jesus never lie; we know on several occasions in our Bibles Jesus has claimed to be the Son and God has claimed that Jesus is His Son. Yet, we now say that the Son is God. If we start to believe that God came in the flesh, even though the word says Jesus came in the flesh - are we not calling both Jesus and God liars?

The other thing we should look at is how people of THAT time would have looked at things, as that is who Jesus was sent to. Trying to take all things into proper perspective is important! Can you picture how the people would have received Jesus if they thought He was God? Can you imagine the thoughts? Do you think they might have said or felt that these things were no challenge to a God, because He is God and He can do all things; but here lies the problem because it would not have had the effect it needed to have. We look at Jesus and what He did in a respectful awe; because He was not God, yet - He was obedient unto death, He did not commit a single sin and He did the will of God His Father absoluetly perfectly. Jesus is the our role model, and He was theirs too! Think about how difficult and how you would feel if God, came down here to you in a fleshly body and told you that you must be like Him, that He is your model. Would you feel that this is even something possible to do? That it was even an obtainable goal? Peoples back then as they still do now need to have goals in front of them that are obtainable. We know we could never be like God and that the very statement was used in Genesis 3:5 For God knows that in the very day you eat from it, your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and bad." and that lie is still being stated by the same hateful entity. Anyway, it would not have had the same or the needed impact that it had on it back in these days nor would it have the same impact it needed to have in these days.

As with anything counterfeit, true worship of the True God, the only Living God, the God of Israel; will come down to one or 2 small differences that will not be so easy to detect. Now, I know we all say we worship God and in our hearts that is who we believe we are worshipping. Brothers and sisters - this is not about us, this is about God; how does God look at our worship? God left us 10 commandments, and Jesus added 1. If we look through the Old Testament, you will find in almost every story (event) - worship was always at the root of the event. It is also the very FIRST commandment! So, if we are putting Jesus in the same position as God, what happens to God, the Almighty? Jesus Himself does not want that and God tells us there is no other besides Him, that He alone is (God). We know that Jesus stripped Himself and that equality was something He did not desire to grasp, and Jesus tells us in John 14:28 "You heard that I said to you, 'I am going away and I am coming back to you.' If you loved me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I am.' So how is it that we can claim we are worshipping God when we are doing everything He tells us not to do; how is this to please Him? I know I may sound a bit harsh here, but these are the questions we have to ask ourselves, and more importantly - be honest with ourselves in what we discover from such a deep search. One final thing to consider would be that we know Jesus was questioned by several peoples and He never claims to be God. He especially had the perfect time to admit to being God when Peter asked Him in Matthew 16:15-20 He said to them, "But who do you yourselves say that I am?" 16 Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." 17 And Jesus said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven." 20 Then He gave the disciples strict orders that they were to tell no one that He was the Christ.

Popular Verses

When I ask others why they believe in the Trinity as it is not taught in our Bibles, They will use the same 2 or 3 verses that can easily be discerned properly if we would only slow down and read what is written, taking the time to look at the greek/ hebrew tanslations and by reading other verses around it. I have a technique that I like to use and that calls for putting in the actual name or position of the person or entity that is being discussed. Anyway, by reading what is written you should quickly start to see the divisions and begin to understand that the truth is right there in front of us in black and white. Some verses are a bit tough and will require some searching. We know that God cannot and will not lie and neither will the Son, and they both claim to be who they claim to be. It does not help the reader any since the Bibles started to use LORD and Lord, but that is all by design and really does all of us a favor, as anyone that is truly looking for understanding will take the time to dig as deep as they have to in order to find it - and in doing so, we tend to learn a lot more than we bargained for! Understanding that Jesus is in union with the Father at all times, and that He came to speak and do the Fathers will will allow you to carry around a lot less baggage. Jesus tells us we are to be in union with Him, and by being in union with Him, we will be in union with His Father, our Father THROUGH Him (Jesus). Each and every verse can be understood if we take the time to search for the real and true answer.

We also understand that Jesus is the image (both physically and spiritually) as His Father. So He was the spitting image of His Father, He had the nature of His Father - no wonder He said "If you have seen Me, you have seen My Father." The same explanation would also go for the verse that says "My Father and I are one." Folks, it was not that long ago when we as a society understood that when two people are attached so tightly and are in - line with each other so much; talking to one was just as good as talking to the other. Jesus was trying to portray that picture to us.

God does not expect us to believe in something so out of our realm, so far out of the rules of our own enviroment that we could not explain it! Please understand that God chose to have Jesus use fisherman to carry the gospel; not rocket scientists! Why do you suppose He wanted to use simple men instead of geniuses? Even todays brain waves cannot tell me how it is possible for one person to be three different peoples!

If we take a look at all of the writings, especially the greetings of each and every new testament book - all of th greeting will separate Jesus and God. We must never forget the simple examples of God and Jesus's roles as they show the separation within themselves; for instance - when Jesus was baptized and He received the Holy Spirit. Every person there SAW the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove come down out of Heaven and rest on Jesus and every single person there heard from Heaven Matthew 3:17 "This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased." Brothers and sisters, God was talking to the peoples from Heaven! Jesus was filled with the Holy Spirit (The word of God) - He came to tell the people about God His Father so that the people would know Him and His ways; making His (Gods) path straight!

Consider also the many times that Jesus would pray over a person and that person would be demon free or healed from sickness; if Jesus was God, He would not have prayed to God to free the person. I could really go on and on with different situations similar to the ones I have put out to you - but after a bit it just becomes redundant. God left us simple commands, knowing that we are a simple people. He would not ever expect us to believe something so complicated that we ourselves cannot figure out how it works, something that has been proven over and over by us cannot be possible. What do I mean? we ourselves know that it is impossible for one person to actually be three different peoples. When we see someone that has multiple personalities; we deem that person to be mentally ill. Never, ever in the history of all of mankind have we seen any one person physically become multiple people! To think that this is possible is a nice theory, but that is ALL it is. It is funny when asked how does a 3 in one person work, because there just really is no viable way to explain it and still carry on a persona of a sound mind! Reading slowly and using cross - references will tell us that Jesus and God are in UNION with eachother and the Holy Spirit is the Word of God as scripture tells us; to turn Jesus into God is breaking the first commandment and we really need to stop doing this. God is ONE and there is no other. Jesus is the Son and our King and mediator. We talk to Jesus, we put our faith and trust in Him, and we pray to our God THROUGH Jesus; it really is that simple and we need to stop complicating it.

Making sense of it all

None of us have it all figured out, but we should keep searching and praying for discernment so that we do not be deceived or misled. It is never easy to change the way we think about things but I still say that in the long run - the baggage of truth is a lot less burdensome than a bag of lies! To recondition my mind was hard. How do I worship God, and what about Jesus?! He did a lot for us and He continues to do a lot for us! To that end I have found peace in talking to Jesus, our Lord and our King; and praying to God (make sure to pray in the name of Jesus) - Jesus is our friend and our mediator and King. These repects will never diminish. God is our Father, and our Creator but we cannot forget He is our God and He says to only worship Him, that He is above ALL. Jesus tells satan when he tempted Him in the desert to worship God only - and we have access to Him THROUGH His Son, Jesus Christ. Somewhere along the line, we started to believe that since Jesus, was filled with the Spirit of God (the Holy Spirt), that this makes Him God. Brothers and sisters, we ourselves say that we have Gods Spirit in us, that God lives in us - does that make us God? or equal to God? Certainly not! Remember, right before Jesus left us,(John 20:17) He told us "I am ascending to My Father and your Father, to My God and your God." and as we all know, once He got back upstairs He sat down at the right hand of the Father until His enemies are under His feet, at which time He will rule the Kingdom 1000 years; that is when He takes His seat on the throne of David.
